Kimberley Rock Art
In remote north west Kimberley exist extensive galleries of
rock art ('Gwion' or 'Bradshaw' art) about 25,000 years old.
This consists of epochs over thousands of years depicting
animals, weapons, stylistic figure groups and
other shapes probably created by a people preceding Aborigine.
It is invaluable heritage for all
Australians.
Carlton Hill Station
This massive cattle property near Kununurra WA was the
cattle station location for the movie 'Australia'.
The artist has painted there each 'dry' season for several years
and elsewhere in the marvellous Kimberley.
